Parent & Carer Support

SEMH, behaviour and educational support for parents, carers and families.

Supportive meeting for parents and carers focused on SEMH, SEND, emotional wellbeing and relational support.

Working with Parents & Carers

I work directly with parents and carers, offering supportive, relational and non-judgemental guidance to help make sense of children’s emotional needs, behaviour, wellbeing and learning.

My approach is emotionally informed and collaborative, supporting families to strengthen understanding, build confidence and develop practical strategies that support both children and the adults around them.

Guidance & Support for Parents & Carers

The education system can often feel overwhelming, particularly when families are navigating additional needs, emotional wellbeing concerns or behaviour difficulties.

I support parents and carers to navigate this with greater confidence and understanding, including:

  • Understanding professional reports and assessments
  • Communicating and working effectively with schools
  • Navigating the SEND and EHCP process
  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour and wellbeing at home
  • Developing routines, boundaries and supportive strategies
  • Building confidence around additional needs and neurodiversity
  • Strengthening relationships and emotionally informed approaches
  • Understanding and responding to emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA)

My aim is to create supportive spaces where parents and carers feel listened to, understood and better equipped to support their child’s wellbeing and development.

Coaching & Mentoring for Children

Some children benefit from additional nurture, guidance and emotionally informed guidance to help them recognise their strengths, build confidence and develop emotional regulation strategies.

I work with children and young people across a range of ages, needs and presentations, including ASD, ADHD and PDA, supporting self-esteem, emotional wellbeing, confidence in learning and relational development.

Support is tailored to the individual child and may include relational SEMH support, emotional regulation strategies, mentoring and confidence building.

Tutoring Support

In some cases, additional academic support may be appropriate, particularly where emotional wellbeing, confidence or school experiences are impacting learning.

I offer tailored 1:1 and small group tutoring in English and Maths, including SATs support and Key Stage One, Two and selected Key Stage Three support.

Tutoring is relational and emotionally informed, recognising that confidence, regulation and relationships are often closely connected to learning and engagement.
